A corner shower, also referred to as a corner shower enclosure, is a sort of shower that you install in the corner of your bathroom. A corner shower is different from a regular shower in the way that it only goes in a corner instead of along the entire wall, and in the way that it does not include a bathtub… it is just a stand up shower that takes up less room.

In fact, a lot of people like corner showers because they help you to utilize more room in a small bathroom. Sometimes, bathrooms are not big enough to fit a whole tub/shower into, and in these cases, it helps to be able to just put a corner shower in so that you can also fit a toilet and a sink. If you are planning on putting a corner shower in your home, or if you are trying to decide whether or not a corner shower would be right for your bathroom, then here are some things to think about.

First of all, a corner shower usually (unless you have a huge bathroom) takes up less room than a tub shower, but eliminates the possibility to put a tub in. So, if you want a separate bathtub and corner shower, then you will need to make sure that your bathroom has plenty of space.

Another reason as to why you might put up a corner shower in your bathroom is if you want to decorate it. A lot of people like corner showers because they can tile the walls, making it very luxurious. In fact, if done right, a corner shower can be more like a spa, especially if you put a bench around it.

There are other uses for corner showers though. A corner shower is great to put in your shop too, because it can let you shower and clean off before you go home. This way, you won’t need to get a lot of grease and dirt in your nice shower at home. For this reason, a lot of people who own auto repair garages have showers installed right in the shop. This way, they can clean off before heading home.

Another thing that you will have to think about before buying a corner shower or having one installed is whether you just want to get a vinyl/fiberglass shower, or whether you want to build the walls of the shower out of tile. This will depend a lot on your budget. A pre-fabricated shower will cost you a lot less than building one out of tile, but the results are also different. A tile shower is much more luxurious than a pre-fabricated shower.

Either way, the choice is yours. A corner shower, though, is a great addition to any bathroom… especially a bathroom where there isn’t room for a regular shower. It can also increase the value of your home to install a corner shower in a bathroom where there was not previously a shower located.
